Jan 24 & 25 - Traditional Lead Technique
Class Description
Learn how to build a stained glass panel using lead came techniques with Carrie Pilch. This is a two day class from 12-5pm both days. Open to students with prior glass cutting and soldering experience. Students learn how to cut cathedral glass using a light box; stretch, cut and build with lead came; solder lead joints; and putty a finished panel. Students will build the same design. Tools and light boxes are provided for use in class. Glass is extra, and must be cathedral glass. It can be bought at the studio or brought from home. Carrie has worked in the stained glass industry for 18 years. She has mastered both the artistic and operational sides of the craft. She currently serves as the floor manager in a professional stained glass studio where she guides projects from conception to completion.
